Online ordering and pay-at-the-table for restaurants

Ordering through someone else's widget sends your guests to someone else's page. We build it into your own site: guests order pickup from your menu, check on it without calling, pay at the table from their phone, and request a table.

What guests can do

  • Browse your menus on your own site: dine-in, carry-out, gluten-free, and bar
  • Order pickup from the carry-out menu, straight to the staff carry-out screen
  • Check their pickup order's status on the site with their phone number
  • Scan the table's QR code to open the check, split it, pick a tip, and pay from their phone
  • Request a table online; staff accept or decline it, with limits on party size and bookings per time slot
  • When the kitchen runs out of something, staff 86 it once and it comes off every menu

Built for a real restaurant

We built this for Royal Cantonese, the family restaurant in Mundelein where Blueframe's founder grew up working, as part of a full rebuild of its ordering. The restaurant has since closed. The screens below use test data.

Royal Cantonese website: choose a menu, with dine-in, carry-out, gluten-free, and bar menus
The restaurant's own site: dine-in, carry-out, gluten-free, and bar menus in one place.
Royal Cantonese guest checkout: a table check with balance due, pay your share, and tip buttons
At the table: guests open their check, split it, tip, and pay without waiting on a server.
Royal Cantonese staff reservations: accept or decline website requests, closed dates, and capacity rules for party size and bookings per time slot
Reservation requests from the site land here to accept or decline, with closed dates and capacity limits.

How a project runs

  1. Step 1

    Free scope review

We look at how work moves through your business today and agree on a fixed scope, price, and timeline before any code is written.

  2. Step 2

Build in 2 to 4 weeks

We build in a fixed window. You see progress every week, and the scope doesn't drift.

  3. Step 3

    Launch and tune

We launch, walk your team through it, and tune it through the first weeks of real use.

Questions owners ask

Do guests need an app?
No. Ordering, the table check, and reservations all run in the browser on any phone.
Do I have to drop my current POS?
Not necessarily. At Royal Cantonese we replaced the point of sale too. If yours takes outside orders, we can send online orders into it instead; the free scope review settles which.
How do guests pay at the table?
Each table has its own QR link. Guests open the check, pay the full balance or their share, and pick a tip or enter their own.
